Contact Info: AIM: Blanknonamemun
Other Characters:Rigby, Wakko, Dr Scratchansniff

Name: Professor Hershel Layton
From: The Professor Layton series
Appearance: title or description
Age: 34-37-ish
Gender: Male
Personality: Layton is the textbook definition of a gentleman. He will always go the extra mile to be proper and polite and is true to the saying 'Ladies first'. He is calm and collected in almost every situation and treats every single person he meets with respect.

Layton is also a brave man, willing to risk his life in extreme situations. He is also a very skilled swordsman as seen in both The Diabolical Box and The Eternal Diva where he fights Anton and Descole respectively. The man can even become the next MacGyver as he can build a makeshift helocopter, a gun made out of slot machine parts, and construct a robot dog to name a few.

Two of his favorite things in the entire universe are tea and puzzles, course, it's a little hard not to like puzzles when your entire world practically revolves around them. It's almost humorous how many things remind him of puzzles, ranging from a glass picture to a plush toy.

Backstory: A true gentleman learns from his past, and moves on. Hershel Layton is an archeologist professor at Gressenheller University in London, England and lives with Luke Triton and Flora. Often times he has to cancel his lectures to solve the mysteries people sent him.

(For anyone who haven't played any of the games/watch the movie, I will put in minimal spoilers below)
One of his very first mysteries was sent by his old student and now famous opera singer Janice telling Layton that she saw her dead best friend talk to her in the body of a little girl. She gives both Layton and Luke tickets to the opera she's performing in which turns out to also be tickets for a deadly game for eternal life.

Three years later, Layton got another letter to go to a town called St. Mystere to solve the case that has been baffling everyone about the 'Golden Apple' that will grant the finder to the entire fortune of the late Baron. Layton eventually finds out that the Golden Apple is a young woman named Flora whom he soon after adopts.

Later, Hershel acquires a letter from his old mentor, Dr Schrader, who says that he has found the Elysian box that is infamous for 'killing anyone that opens it'. When Professor Layton goes to visit Schrader, he finds him dead with the Elysian Box missing and the only clue is a ticket for the Molentary Express. Deciding that they have no other lead for the murder, they take the Molentary Express in hopes of finding the death of Dr Schrader.

(If this isn't quite enough information, you can always PM me and ask for major plot points in those games/movie. I just really don't wanna spoil the game for people who haven't got the chance to see/play it yet.)

Moral Standing: Puzzle He's lawful good for the most part, but on at least one occasion he has helped the villain because of puzzle
Dreams: To solve every puzzle in the world Probably to continue learning and solving mysteries for the rest of his life.
Fears: Failing to solve puzzles Not being able to or failing to protect Flora, Luke, or anyone he cares deeply about
Extra: Since I have yet to finish Unwound Future (sob), this Layton is coming from after Diabolical Box

To try to make it a little more fun for myself, I will try to include 'Mysteries' and 'Journal Entries' like in the video games.
